Description
Collects information on students’ mental and physical health and wellbeing, focused especially on their behaviours and relationships inside and outside of schools. Data is collected every 2 years (since 2013) for 11-16 year olds, though since 2022 the survey also covers 7-10 year olds. Though data is collected in schools, place data is openly available only by region. Full place-based and identity-based data is accessible through the SAIL databank (subject to funding). Funded by Welsh gov, led by Cardiff Uni 2021, 123000 students from 202 schools (73% of students) Data shared with partners, including schools A data dashboard is available at Public Health Wales for the 2017, 2019, and 2021 data. This was enabled by DECIPHer at Cardiff University, who also release national reports.
